Meet Your Orthodontist
Dr. Raymond McLagan
Dr. McLagan earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University, where he majored in Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. His studies helped him become fluent in Spanish, a skill he continues to use to help Chattanooga families.
Next, Dr. McLagan pursued his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree at the University of Kentucky. He then completed an intensive orthodontic residency at Augusta University, earning a Certificate of Orthodontics in December 2023.
Dr. McLagan's greatest joy comes from spending time with his family outside the office. He and his wife, Mary Claire, met while studying at Pepperdine University and have been inseparable since their graduation and marriage in 2017.
Together, they're raising two wonderful children: their one-year-old son, Coleman, and their newborn daughter, Cecilia May. Rounding out their household is Odie, their loyal and lively dog who keeps everyone on their toes.
When he's not transforming smiles, Dr. McLagan enjoys playing with his kids, hitting the tennis courts, or exploring the scenic hiking trails around Chattanooga.
